Deconstructing the Accelerator: Meet the Startups Accepted into Seattle’s Second Cohort
In December, we opened applications for our Seattle Accelerator and startups responded by the hundreds. Since then, our team has traveled to several major tech hubs across the U.S. in search of entrepreneurs building awesome startups in the Digital Work space. We’ve met hundreds of inspiring innovators and spent hours assessing applicants to find the best startups for our program.
Just over two weeks ago, U.S. Startup Programs Lead at Microsoft, Sonal Mane, took you through our startup discovery and selection process in further detail, followed by my post a week later, where I broke down some of our application data.
And today, at last, we are thrilled to announce the 14 startups selected to be part of our 4-month accelerator program in Seattle!
In a mobile-first, cloud-first world, startups have an incredible opportunity to revolutionize the workplace with smart, powerful and connected productivity solutions—and our new batch will help ignite this new wave of services. We’ll help these 14 startups bring their ideas to market by providing mentorship, technology, access to capital and niche expertise.
The Digital Work Accelerator runs from March through July and is hosted in our South Lake Union building. Over the next few months, we’ll keep you updated on the new cohort’s journey—here on the Microsoft Ventures blog and on Twitter, so make sure to follow along.
